Engines and Motors

If you love radio controlled vehicles and enjoy building kit vehicles, then engines and motors are an extremely important part to creating a great vehicle. There are two types of components that can give your vehicle power, they are engines and motors. Engines run by fuel, usually gas. Motors run by electricity in the form of batteries.

Many engines and motors for radio controlled vehicles deliver high power for a few minutes or even a couple of hours depending on the type of vehicle and what kind of performance you expect. For instance, gas engines are great for radio controlled vehicles, because these engines deliver extremely high output and if your vehicle runs out of fuel, you can easily fill up the engine in a few seconds and you can use your vehicle immediately.

Electric motors are also a great way to power your radio controlled vehicle, however they sometimes don't deliver as much energy as gas powered engines do. Another drawback is that batteries need to be recharged once they run out of energy; depending on your configuration this can take a few minutes or several hours. However, batteries are much quieter and sometimes last longer than a R/C vehicle tank of gas.

Engines and motors for radio controlled vehicles are complex. If you love tinkering with technology, engines and motors will usually amaze you. There are plenty of accessories you can buy to increase the performance of your engine and motors from cylinders, to fans, to pumps. If you are into radio controlled vehicles, check out engines and motors.
