Occasions and celebrations attached to them fill up the vacuum and relieve us of the routine boredom. If you happen to fall in the invitees list of those throwing some gathering, then a gift item is the first thing you need to ensure. And what can be better than a handmade gift basket.

When you indulge into homemade craft, you have a scope of making the best out of waste at times. If you have a flair for art and you love exploring your artistic disposition then nothing like it. In case you don't think that you can be too original or need some basic framework to start with, then we have something just for you, in case you happen to fall in the either of the categories.

Multipurpose Gift Basket:
We are describing the craft procedure for a gift basket that can be gifted on any occasion and can be used in more than one ways. This gift basket utilizes your old faded basket that you were planning to dispose. Let's proceed with the details.

Preparatory materials for the garden gift basket:

* Basket -1. If you have an old faded one but intact, you can certainly use it.
* Sponge-1
* Acrylic paints – water based-1 in base color
* Potato – 1
* Plate-1
* Paints – Number of colors as per your design
* Brush-1 (optional)

How to make a garden craft basket?

1. Dip the sponge in water and wipe the basket with it.
2. Put the base colored acrylic paint on the whole basket.
3. Divide and cut the potato into two halves.
4. On one of the potato halves, draw the shape of a petal with pencil.
5. Now extract half inch deep mass of the petal design from the potato half.
6. You can extract leaf from the other potato half similarly.
7. Put some colors on the plate
8. Pick one carved out potato block and dip one of its faces in the paint.
9. Apply the colored face of the block on a piece of paper to check the impression.
10. Similarly check the another block.
11. If both the impressions are fine then use the petal and leaf blocks to color a design. Use the color variations as per your choice.
12. You may draw stem with the brush in case you wish to do so.

Your gift basket is ready.

A handmade gift has an intangible value and is generally the most treasured belonging for those you want to gift. So, why to wait? Give your creativity its space and put it to work.
