What Should I Put in a Food Gift Basket?
When deciding to send someone a food gift basket, make sure that the foods that are put into the basket are appropriate. In other words, don't give someone a food gift basket with too many sweets if they happen to be diabetic. Putting together the basket is easy and won't take long to do, just use common sense and remember who the basket is for.
A food gift basket can contain almost anything one can think of. Fresh ground gourmet coffee makes for a wonderful gift. Fruits and vegetables can be arranged to make the basket beautiful. Some sweets can be appropriate as long as it isn't over done. One can add dry spaghetti with a bottle of good sauce and a bottle of wine. Someone can think up any theme for a food gift basket and present it personally.
Having a certain theme can save someone from getting fifteen identical meals! Getting baskets full of chicken is great for a couple meals, but not for two weeks. A food gift basket doesn't even need to be a meal. Some small items like cheese and wine, or some other small gourmet items are a great way to express kindness to someone.
Things to Avoid in a Food Gift Basket
There are some items that are wonderful but not appropriate for a gift basket. If the entire basket is filled with sweet treats, try not to add a lot of chocolates. The biggest problem for chocolate is that it will melt if it is exceptionally warm. If it is a hospital room that the individual is staying in, they probably won't have control over the temperature. Nobody likes to open their favorite chocolate with anticipation and find that it is mushy and melted.
Something else to avoid is anything that may take extra effort and time to prepare. Think of some of the things your friend would really like and put it together in a food gift basket. Anything that you know that they wouldn't like, have religious or cultural sensitivities or are allergic to should be left out of the basket. Recollect a meal you've enjoyed at the recipients house and try to replicate that. It is really that easy when planning to put together a food gift basket. Take all of this information and use it to create a wonderful food gift basket for someone who deserves it.

First Birthday presents can range from learning toys to big soft toys. If the child have the First Birthday is particularly special to you, there are lots of different keepsakes you can buy as a gift for them to treasure when they are older.
A lot of special First Birthday presents are gifts such as silver spoons and little engraved items.
